BSMHD will be running a Mental Health First Aid course in Manchester Deaf Centre that is specifically for those who use Sign Language (BSL/SSE).

Mental Health affects us all. How we think and feel about ourselves and our lives affects our behaviour and how we cope in tough times. You will learn:

• What is Mental Health?

• Understanding different mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicide and eating disorders

• Supporting someone who maybe in crisis

• What is ALGEE ?

At the end of the course you will get a certificate of attendance from MHFA Wales

There will be some input on the issues faced by Deaf people

In certain cases, the course qualifies for 14 CPD points.

This is the Adult Mental Health First Aid 2 day course only available to those who live or work in Wales
