Hear Deaf Mental Health in Wales

The British Society for Mental Health and Deafness, along with their partners, BDA (Cymru), Action on Hearing Loss Cymru, Care and Support and Centre of Sign-Sight-Sound (formerly The North Wales Deaf Association) are pleased to announce that the “Hear Deaf Mental Health” project funded by the Big Lottery in Wales will go ahead from 1st January.

This is a three year programme to support Deaf people with mental health issues and improve accessibility to mental health services for Deaf people throughout Wales. The first stage is to deliver Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) courses to the wider Deaf community.These courses will be delivered by a deaf accredited MHFA instructor in BSL/SSE.
